As always Nigella’s mantra is that cooking should be fun, if it becomes stressful then you’re not doing it right. Christmas is a great excuse to potter about in the kitchen, to slow down, take cover from the frenzy of the holiday season and realise how comforting it can be to cook.

1×01 – That Old Chestnut Nigella Lawson demonstrates how festive cooking can be fun. In the first episode she shows viewers how to make a last-minute Christmas cake and provides a recipe for spiced glazed ham. Plus, Nigella takes a trip to a Christmas market at Salzburg for inspiration 1×02 – The Un-Happy Hour Nigella Lawson demonstrates how to cook quick and easy party food perfect for Christmas. Recipes include Parma ham, goat’s cheese and fig wraps, spicy mini ribs, and cinnamon-rubbed poussin with pomegranate seed couscous. Plus, a Cuban chorizo and black bean soup makes for a great hangover cure 1×03 – Life in the Old Bird Yet? Nigella Lawson demonstrates how to cook the perfect spiced roast turkey for Christmas lunch, to be accompanied by pancetta and chestnut sprouts, maple syrup parsnips, and gingerbread stuffing.
