“Enhance your knowledge of VMware vSphere™ Virtual Networking as subject matter experts walk through the associated hands on lab discussing important points and offering attendees the opportunity to ask and have answered questions regarding the VMware vSphere™ Virtual Networking lab.
This session is specifically tied to the VMware vSphere™ Virtual Networking lab, and it is highly recommended that attendees take the Lab either prior to, or after the session in order build upon topics or concepts presented therein. This lab is designed to familiarize students with VMware vSphere™ Virtual Networking and the new features introduced in vSphere 4.1. The lab will lead the student through the creation and configuration of a vNetwork Distributed Switch. The new features Network IO Control and Load Based Teaming will be demonstrated. The lab will also cover the installation and initial configuration of the of the Cisco VSM (Virtual Supervisor Module); connecting the VSM to vCenter Server; configuring uplinks and port profiles; plus some additional configuration tasks that highlight the attributes of the Nexus 1000V.”
