Hypervisor-Based Antivirus and Endpoint Security
This session presents customer use cases and technical architecture for using a hypervisor to scan virtual machines from the outside without requiring a traditional antivirus agent.
Combining multiple in-guest agents into a single security appliance enables high-consolidation datacenters and clouds to achieve higher efficiency, avert “AV storms”, and provide better tamper-resistance. Antivirus can also be delivered on-demand as a turnkey cloud service without agent installation, providing stronger assurance and coverage.
Development work with leading antivirus vendors will be demonstrated, and roadmaps for extending capabilities to other security applications will be explored.
